Progressive Green Party Candidate Angelica Duenas Prevented From Promoting "Political Content" On Facebook
One might argue that the Facebook accounts of political candidates should be the first Facebook accounts authorized to "boost" political content, it is obviously not the views of the "team" at Facebook slated to review such content. Duenas posted the above image to her campaign volunteers page in grievance of being disallowed to promote her own political content ahead of the June 5th primary.
Should Duenas win most, or second-to-most votes on June 5th, she, and the establishment incumbent Rep. Cardenas would go head to head in the general election vote in November. Even winning second place in the primary wins her, at the very least, 5 months to increase her name recognition prior to the vote. A vote, by the way, in which Cardenas is likely to experience the backlash associated with recent reports of sexual misconduct with a minor. While Cardenas continues to deny the mounting allegations, and skirt the subsequent calls for his resignation, a political battle for the soul of the left, and the soul of the nation, rages onward, barely heard above the raunchy sounds of gnashing jaws as the wealthy establishment's candidates feast upon unlimited resources and infinite name recognition. Meanwhile, underdog progressive grassroots warriors must fight for the mere right to promote their own campaigns on social media. While Duenas has complied with Facebook's requests for further information before allowing a political campaign to promote political content, Duenas states that "it can take up to election day" for her to be authorized to promote her posts. She could use some help with that...

When a Facebook post is shared on Twitter, it shows up merely as a link with no description, and for that reason, no one is going to click on the link if shared there. I would recommend copying the text from the image above, being sure to include the date (June 5th) and the district (CA-29, or "San Fernando Valley"). To make it more likely to grab attention, include images, but please share her message everywhere!
